A former dancer, Olivia has always been passionate and curious about movement. Her love for the method stems from the physicality of the work as strength training combined with the precise technique of dance. She was comprehensively trained under Melissa Kakavas + Jen Gianni in North Carolina through Balanced Body. Olivia always envisioned a multi-faceted career that would include teaching movement and creative work. She fell in love with Pilates and it surprised her how much it satisfied her creative needs as well. When she says “Teaching Pilates is the most artistic thing I’ve ever done” she really means “I’ve never known how to love people so well.” For her, Pilates is the space where science, art and dance all come together. It’s the space where she feels most human and the most capable of connecting with others. Her passion for making people feel seen and heard provides a unique experience for every client she works with. She has experience working with clients of all ages and skill levels. Her teaching experience has allowed her to develop thorough knowledge on soft tissue release work, disc injuries, muscular imbalances, shoulder injuries, hip/knee/ankle injuries, pre/post-natal Pilates, Parkinson’s disease, osteoporosis, arthritis, and multiple sclerosis.
