Certified Pilates Instructor
Compensation: Hourly, starting at $38 per hour and commensurate with experience. This is an Independent Contractor position*
Position Summary: We are looking to add 1-2 well rounded instructors to our staff of energetic, thoughtful Pilates teachers. Must have a comprehensive Pilates certification. 2 years of teaching experience is preferred but we encourage new teachers to apply as well. Our teaching philosophy is a mix of Joseph Pilates' classical repertoire and contemporary choreography. Our intention is to offer a range of challenging, athletic work and therapeutic exercises for the different needs of our clientele. The ideal candidate is eager to continue learning, passionate about wellness and has a strong personal Pilates practice.
*Hiring for full-time & part time: We are mainly looking evenings on weekdays & weekends, opportunity to build books during weekdays.

- Teach Pilates classes as scheduled, including small group reformer classes, private and duet sessions, and Pilates-based mat workouts as needed.
- Promote the benefits of Pilates and overall general health benefits of physical activity.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment for clients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid comprehensive Pilates instructor certification
- Knowledge of and experience teaching Pilates Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, and Chair
- Knowledge of anatomy and basic Kinesiology
- Teach classes of mixed ability, catering for varying needs within a class offering adaptations and progressions as well as modifications where necessary
- Experience in a client-facing environment and ability to communicate and interact warmly and professionally with customers, developing relationships and long-term clientele
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Reliable, responsible, and prompt
- Knowledge of the MINDBODY scheduling platform a plus
